Periodically construction and renovation work has to be carried out for different types of structures, ranging from homes to offices to factories. This involves doing stucco and plastering work, where the older coating used is removed and replaced by a fresh coating to make it look new. For all this construction work, the design is prepared, material is procured, and then the construction activity will start.
Existing fixtures are removed while painting, stucco and plastering and have to be fixed again. This involves using a large number of different types of EIFS fasteners and other materials such as stucco tapes, threshold tape, masking film, plastic film, fiberglass mesh, flashing tape, EIFS trowels, rasps and scaffolding. The fasteners are available in different designs and materials to comply with the requirements.
Some of the fasteners used for stucco and plastering work are EIFS compliant washers whose specification meet or exceed the EIFS norms. These washers have a diameter of 2 inches, and are made using high density polypropylene and used to fix the different types of screws securely in the eps foam as required.
There are a variety of EIFS compliant screws available for stucco and plastering work, designed for materials which vary from clima coated wood metal screws, self-tapping steel screws, tapcon, masonry and concrete screws. A zinc coated metal screw is used in an atmosphere where the corrosion levels are high.
These screws are available in a variety of lengths and diameters ranging from 1.5 inches to 4.5 inches depending on the application where this screw is likely to be used. Construction contractors can purchase these screws of different sizes in packs of 1000 or more based on their requirements. These screws are also EIMA approved.
Masonry and block fasteners are used for fixing insulation on to concrete and hollow concrete blocks. These fasteners have a large head which is more than 2 inches in diameter to make it easy to fix onto the surface. This ensures that the screws do not become lose in adverse weather conditions like heavy rain or winds.
Due to their design, masonry and block fasteners help to save money. These fasteners are available in sizes that range from 2 inches to 5 inches. They are available in packs of 250 numbers of each size. Thus by selecting the right screws and fasteners, the expenditure for construction is greatly reduced.
